This opportunity is open to non-native learners of Chinese who have participated in the Beginner Chinese Language courses offered by the University of Auckland and the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Education. We are collaborating with them to support teachers who are learning Chinese to consolidate their skills through this immersion experience.

When & Where

29th November to 2nd December 2026
Queenstown

What We Will Cover

Language Circle will cover:
- Return flights to Queenstown
- Airport transfers and all programme-related transport in Queenstown
- Accommodation, language lessons, activities and all meals
- 1x Teacher Release Day (TRD), to be reimbursed to the school on successful completion of the programme

Language Circle does not cover:
- 2x TRDs
- Departure airport transfers/parking/mileage
- Any other personal spend incurred while in Queenstown

Eligibility

Teachers must have completed the Beginner Chinese Language course with the University of Auckland and the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Education.

Cost

Language Circle is funded to provide professional learning for provisionally and fully registered Primary, Intermediate and Secondary teachers throughout Aotearoa New Zealand
