How to make literary texts accessible, engaging, and relevant for language learners? This workshop addresses that challenge by providing practical strategies to transform authentic literary texts into meaningful learning opportunities. Participants will explore ways to scaffold comprehension, promote interaction, and use literature to develop language skills, intercultural understanding, and a genuine enjoyment of reading in Spanish.

What we will cover

Participants will learn how to select appropriate literary texts, adapt them to learners’ linguistic competence, and create communicative, vocabulary, grammar, and critical-thinking activities. By the end of the session, teachers will have a toolkit of strategies and ready-to-use ideas for integrating literature effectively into Spanish classes.
