This course is delivered through two full-day face-to-face workshops. four online workshops and practice analysis school visits.

Workshops for French and Japanese.

Course Structure:

This course is delivered through two full-day face-to-face workshops. Four online workshops and practice analysis school visits.
Dates for workshops will be dependent on location and language groups to be agreed with course participants.

FRENCH:

Workshop 1 (online): Introduction to the course; principles of language teaching and learning. Wednesday 25th March, 3:30pm-4:40pm

Workshop 2 (full-day face-to-face): Intangible cultural heritage and iCLT, TBLT review; focus for PGC. Wednesday 29th April, 9:00am-3:00pm (venue TBC, but will be in Auckland)

Workshop 3 (online): Reporting back - what does your evidence tell you? Tuesday 23rd June 2026, 3:30pm-4:40pm

Workshop 4 (full-day face-to-face): Bespoke content developed for the group's areas of interest. Friday 31st July, 2026, 9:00am-3:00pm

Workshop 5 (online): Planning for success. Thursday 10th September 2026, 3:30pm-4:40pm

Workshop 6 (online): Professional Growth Cycle presentations - what happened? Wednesday 11th November, 3:30pm-4:40pm

Workshop 1 (online): Introduction to the course; Principles of language teaching and learning, new curriculum. Areas of focus for PGC.

Workshop 2 (full-day face-to-face): Pedagogy content dependent on needs of the cluster.

Cost:

Covered by Language Circle - 1 x Teacher release day, 2 x School visits if required, 2 x Face to Face workshops, Airfares to and from face to face workshops/ shuttle to and from airport to workshop venue/ accommodation if required, Catering for workshops.

Not covered by Language Circle (School or Teachers to cover) - Transport cost including parking to and from the airport in your home town, one Teacher Release Day for the face to face workshops and release time for an hour after the practice analysis visit/ preferably straight after the visit.
