Spanish Language Assistants and teacher aide can play a valuable role in the Spanish classroom. They provide authentic language input, support small-group speaking activities, model pronunciation and intonation, and bring first-hand cultural perspectives into the classroom. This workshop will showcase practical ways of integrating Language Assistants into Spanish programmes so that students benefit from greater exposure to authentic language, increased speaking opportunities, and richer intercultural experiences. Participants will also gain ideas for building effective collaboration between teachers and assistants.
