Learn everything about DELE, the official Spanish certification from The Instituto Cervantes

Discover how the DELE qualifications can enhance Spanish language programmes, motivate learners, and create new opportunities for schools across New Zealand.

October 21, 2026 4:30 PM

As Spanish programmes continue to grow in New Zealand, teachers and schools are increasingly looking for internationally recognised ways to certify students’ language proficiency and provide clear learning pathways beyond the classroom.

This workshop addresses the need for reliable assessment, learner motivation, and greater international recognition of Spanish language achievement. The session will explore how DELE qualifications can support students, strengthen language programmes, and open new possibilities for schools.

Online - Zoom link will be sent once registrations are accepted.

What We Will Cover

Participants will gain an overview of the DELE examinations, including the different levels, assessment structure, and the benefits these internationally recognised certificates offer students. The workshop will also explain the process, requirements, and advantages of becoming a DELE examination centre, enabling schools to provide local access to official Spanish qualifications. Teachers will leave with practical information, resources, and strategies to guide students towards certification and to evaluate whether DELE accreditation could be a valuable addition to their school’s language programme.
