Celebrate a colleague for their excellence in French teaching with this scholarship to France

September/October holidays
Rosaria Campbell was an extraordinary linguist and educator who taught French, led departments, and served as National Language Adviser for French from 2017–2018. In her final years, she lived in France and led the development of the New Zealand Liberation Museum – Te Arawhata in Le Quesnoy.
Rosaria Campbell dedicated her career to the teaching and learning of French in New Zealand, making a lasting impact as a teacher, leader, and national adviser. Her final work in France focused on strengthening educational and cultural connections through the development of Te Arawhata.
In recognition of Rosaria’s contribution to French language education in New Zealand, this award will be given to one teacher who will travel to France in September 2026. The recipient will experience Parisian culture before spending a week collaborating with the Museum’s education team and local teachers in Le Quesnoy.
We invite teachers to nominate a French-teaching colleague who reflects Rosaria’s values and whose commitment to language learning goes above and beyond expectations. After registering, nominators will receive a form to complete outlining why their nominee deserves recognition. Please ensure nominees are aware of the nomination before submitting.
