This Kaffeeklatsch explores ways how a famous German classic can become a powerful tool for cultural learning and communication – even in the beginner classroom.

What we will cover

Using Goethe’s Der Zauberlehrling as an example, participants will experience teaching sequences designed for students of different year levels. We will explore practical strategies for making classical German literature accessible and motivation.

Participants will:
- discover ways to adapt authentic literary texts for beginner learners
- explore how cultural knowledge can be integrated into language learning
- develop ideas for connecting literature, culture, and geography
