A huge thank you to the New Zealand Association of Language Teachers (NZALT) for the opportunity to participate as a key sponsor of this year's conference. 🎉
The Language Circle team is grateful to have been part of an event that continues to inspire, connect, and strengthen the language teaching community across Aotearoa.
We were especially proud to host our Language Circle Immersion Day on Saturday, where teachers immersed themselves in languages, cultures and practical teaching approaches ahead of the conference. It was a fantastic day of collaboration, learning and shared passion for language education. 🌎
The energy continued over the following two days at St Andrew's College, where our Facilitators and National Language Advisers delivered a range of breakout sessions, sharing practical ideas, innovative pedagogy and resources to support language teaching in classrooms throughout Aotearoa.
This year's conference theme, "Languages for Life: Equipping Ākonga for a Future Without Borders", perfectly captured the importance of language learning in preparing young people to thrive in an increasingly connected world. It was inspiring to see so many educators united by a shared commitment to empowering ākonga through languages and intercultural understanding.
One of the greatest highlights was reconnecting with long-time friends and colleagues, while also welcoming many new faces into our growing learning community. 🤝
Ngā mihi nui, NZALT. We can't wait to do it all again in Wellington in 2028!
